The Quectel RM520N is a 5G module series designed specifically for IoT/eMBB apps. Both the 5G NSA and SA versions are supported thanks to the 3GPP Release 16 technology. Customers' transition from LTE-A to 5G is made easier by the RM520N series' M.2 form factor compatibility with Quectel's 5G module RM50xQ series, LTE-A Cat 6 module EM06, Cat 12 module EM12, EM12xR, EM120K series, and Cat 16 module EM160R-GL. Only industrial- and commercial-grade apps should use the RM520N series.
Nearly all of the major carriers in the globe are covered by the Global version of the RM520N series. The module is compatible with Qualcomm IZatTM Gen9C Lite positioning technology. (GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, and QZSS). The integrated GNSS receiver makes the product design much simpler while also enabling more rapid, precise, and reliable positioning.
A rich set of Internet protocols, industry-standard interfaces and abundant functionalities (USB and PCIe drivers for Windows 7/8/8.1/10, Linux, Android) extend the applicability of the module to a wide range of eMBB and IoT applications such as an industrial router, home gateway, STB, industrial laptop, consumer laptop, industrial PDA, rugged tablet PC, video surveillance and digital signage.
