The nROK 1031 is powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz Intel Atom x6413E processor with powerful graphics and multimedia enhancements. It includes an onboard CAN 2.0B, an optional OBD interface (SAE J1939) for vehicle diagnostics, and a GPS+QZSS/Glonass/Galileo/Beidou receiver. Furthermore, it offers optional WLAN (Wi-Fi 5/6/6E) and optional WWAN (LTE/5G NR) wireless data connectivity. There are dual micro-SIMs and one micro-SIM with an external access design for user convenience, allowing users to access the micro-SIM card easily. The nROK 1031, which is available with an optional AI accelerator M.2/mPCIe module, also serves as a dependable AI edge computing platform, delivering innovative AI solutions for rolling stock. This fanless computer is easily installed thanks to its rugged, fanless, and compact inclosure.

The nROK 1031-C2 supports dual IEEE 802.3af/at PoE functions and is suitable for most PoE devices. Connecting with wireless access points and IP cameras is part of this. Furthermore, simple power wire arrangements can provide an additional 12VDC output for an external display. The nROK 1031 is a versatile rolling stock computer that can handle a wide range of train applications, including wireless gateway, infotainment, dispatching, AI edge computing, and mobile video surveillance.
